Geek Is The New Hot In Hollywood

WTF Couple Alert:  Katy Perry is reportedly dating TV theme song medley performance artist Josh Groban.  So much for that vow of celibacy then eh, Katy? Groban's next single, "Yeah, I'm The Geek Kissing the Girl Who Kissed A Girl And I REALLY Like It (You Know You're Jealous)."

Former Melrose Place resident Heather Locklear has passed on  renewing her lease as Amanda Woodward on the CW's reboot --probably after she found out Ashlee Simpson Wentz was attached to the project. After all, there is only so much Heather's short skirts can do. But bumped off Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan is free if they still need blond beeyotch. 

• "In the best news we've heard since the whole Rihanna-Chris Brown mess broke, the dysfunctional duo is reportedly "taking a break." Rihanna has been spotted out at NYC  nightspots while Chris is laying low in Los Angeles.  Now if Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson would just get their act together. Over to you, Oprah.

• Rumors that blogger extraordinaire John Mayer was planning a tell-all book about his ex times two Jennifer Aniston, and the delish tidbit about the night she called him 'Brad' in bed, are unfortunately false. Dang, and we were all set to pre-order a copy from Amazon, like now.

• Tom Cruise, his stepford wife Katie Holmes and their pampered princess Suri are planning to camp their way across America.  Sounds pretty normal, right? Puleze.  Even when camping out, sources say Tom travels with a friend from the Church of Scientology.  So if you see or hear anything weird in the woods, it's probably just Tom jumping up and down, screaming about how much he loves Katie. And that he's not gay. We're pretty sure he's not rabid though, so no worries if he gets loose.

• It's wedding bells for Wednesday Addams.  Addams Family star Christina Ricci and boyfriend Owen Benjamin are engaged. The  couple make a striking pair, considering Benjamin is 6'6'' compared to Ricci's 5'1". Hopefully they'll add a stepladder to the gift registry.
