Remember When He Was Funny?  Yeah, Us Either . . .

Whose the biggest dick in Hollywood these days?  

Jeremy Piven stepped up to challenge Katherine Heigl for the title when he threw a toddler tantrum on Chris Kattan, but now we have another contender: Dane Cook.

High School Musical starlet Vanessa Hudgens looked pretty psyched when Cook gave her a shout out at the Teen Choice Awards when he went up to present the "Choice Hottie" award. 

At first.

No doubt she was thrilled to be singled out by a guy who is the complete opposite of her boyfriend Zac Efron and who probably has no idea what "foundation primer" is.

But her enthusiasm didn't last long when Cook made her the, uh, butt of his "joke" about the second set of nudie pics of her that leaked online, "Gurl, you gots to keep yo clothes on. Phonez are for phone calls, gurl."

It’s funny ‘cause it’s true – phones really are for phone calls! Only a comedic genius like Dane could come up with an observation like that.

Cue the nervous laughter.

And cut to Vanessa's "I'm not afraid to cut a bitch" glare.

Zac tried to look imposing but mainly ended up just looking really uncomfortable at the thought of boobs and naked womanly bits.

Not surprisingly, Cook’s joke -- and Hudgens’ reaction to it -- were edited out of the "Teen Choice Awards" before the program aired on FOX on Monday night.

After the show, Cook said he didn’t mean to offend. “Mostly I just wanted it to be funny.” Adding, "That's the best part about being a comic, when you go, 'Maybe I can say the thing that everybody is kind of feeling and nobody [is saying].' The elephant in the room moment. So, I'll take it, I'll take the hit. It's okay."

A 37-year old man using a mildly offensive-sounding voice to poke fun of nudie pics of a 20-year old girl in front of an audience of impressionable 10 - 14 year olds? Yeah, frigging hilarious!

Actually, the best part about being a comic is when you go "Maybe I should say something funny." Someone should tell Dane. You know, it's possible we've been blaming the wrong person for Employee of the Month tanking at the box-office. Sorry, Jessica.
