How to Part Ways with Your "Just in Case" Clothes

One of my favorite things to do with clients is to give them a wardrobe makeover. It's so fun to go through closets and help women find fabulous new outfits that they never thought of!

There is, however, a trend that repeats itself constantly with each women I assist while auditing her closet - items that are kept, "just in case".  The items that we know we won't wear (or don't like too), but we keep in case an occasion may arise where we might need to wear it or find use for it.

We have all done this - it's insane!

These pieces in our closet simply take up room, and become one of the frequent items in our closets that may create the horrible, "I have nothing to wear" panic in the morning.

My suggestion?

Only keep items in your wardrobe that you LOVE and make use of! Why do anything less? Ideally, we should all be able to go to our closets in the morning excited about all the fabulous things we have to wear!

Taking out the filler pieces in your closet, you'll begin to get a true picture of what's in your wardrobe, and also what gaps need to be filled from an afternoon of shopping!

Warmest wishes,
