Producers Pick Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Over Her?  Ouch, That's Got To Hurt

We were totally kidding when we suggested Lisa Rinna would crash the set of the CW's upcoming reboot of the 90s hit TV series Melrose Place with a "Will Work for Collagen" sandwich board in desperation to reprise her role as Taylor McBride.

But desperate times evidently call for desperate actions. The plump-lipped has-been was sported on Wednesday in Los Angeles sporting a sandwich board sign that read "Honk for Lisa Rinna On The New Melrose Place."

Not even Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have sunk this far in their ongoing photo opp campaign to maintain their D-list notoriety.

It turns out, though, the shameless act was a bit for a new web show. "A dear friend asked me if I would do this skit," Rinna told E! News. "I said why not? Because, you know me, I'll do anything."  Clearly.

Come on, casting execs.  There must be a small part for a character who underwent botched plastic surgery to escape a shadowy past and is now hiding out in the MR complex.  

Or next time, she'll turn up naked.
