Best Bets: Tony Chaar Salon, Novo Spa and Stillwater Spa

altAs Toronto’s beauty hub and the largest beauty district in Canada, Bloor-Yorkville is excited to host Beautylicious: a celebration of beauty and wellness inspired by Toronto’s popular Winterlicious and Summerlicious culinary events. Running from October 28th to November 7th, this unique event concept — the first event of its kind in Canada — will offer consumers the opportunity to enjoy an array of hair, spa and health & wellness service packages available at three special price points - $25, $75, $125.

Go for it. Take full advantage of Beautylicious Oct 28 - Nov 7. All of the local spas, salons and even some restaurants in the Bloor-Yorkville area are offering special packages and deals to those who book in advance. It's a great way to sample something new and pamper yourself or a friend at great price.

“We are thrilled to be Canada’s largest beauty district and Beautylicious is the perfect way to let everyone know about our celebration of beauty, health & wellness,” says Briar de Lange, General Manager of the Bloor-Yorkville BIA. “It’s accessible to everyone – women and men – and it’s right before the holiday season, which is the perfect time to get primped and primed.”

Beautylicious is truly an innovative event that offers something for everyone. One could book a non-surgical face-lift, a boxing lesson, and a manicure during the same period!

Packages are available in three “Beautylicious” categories: Hair (hair colour/cut/style); Spa (including massage and/or facial, and/or mani/pedi); Skin (non-invasive procedures including Botox, Juvéderm or chemical peels); and Health & Wellness (nutrition services, dental, massage services). These specially priced packages will not be available at any other time during the year.

  • WOMAN.ca's Best Bet Beautylicious Package is Novo Spa's $125 Deal for a 1 hour RMT Massage followed by a 1 hour premium pedicure. Whether you live in Toronto, are planning a vacation in Toronto, or are coming to Toronto for business, Novo Spa is the perfect spa for relaxation and tranquility.

Novo Spa offers a variety of treatments, including massage therapy with Registered Massage Therapists (RMT), aromatherapy massage, hot stone massage, advanced facials, manicures, pedicures, body polish and wraps and other skin and body treatments. The Steam Bed Body Therapies, Novo Spa’s exclusive Signature Treatment, incorporates mud treatment as well as exfoliation massage, foot massage, scalp massage and hot stone massage.

Novo Spa is in Yorkville, a trendy, upscale shopping district of Toronto, and is only a minute’s walk from  Bloor St., home of many designer boutiques and department stores. Novo Spa is an ideal destination for a romantic experience in Toronto. The Spa offers unique couple’s treatments, and is one of only a handful of Spas in Toronto to offer a special private couple’s suite with side-by-side massage beds for massage therapy for two, facials for two, and skin treatments for two. Novo Spa is also pleased to be able to offer couples a special couple’s luxury suite double shower with steam, jets, and colour therapy, as well as a private relaxation lounge made just for two.

Hygiene is one of Novo Spa’s top priorities. In addition to constant and meticulous cleaning and disinfecting of all facilities throughout the day, Novo Spa in Toronto has incorporated several additional cleansing utilities that help to keep the health and safety of guests secure.

The Spa manicure and pedicure area boasts four state-of-the-art pedicure chairs which have ‘pipe less bowls’, water repositories for soaking one’s feet that employ an alternative to the re-circulating water jet system that has been known to retain bacteria despite disinfection. For both manicures and pedicures it is essential to have immaculate tools, Novo uses an instrument autoclave, a device that not only disinfects, but is capable of detecting even the smallest traces of bacteria. These health and safety precautions are part of what makes Novo Spa one of Toronto’s Premier Spas.
